What Happens During a Texas Care Stop 6 Visit?

A lot of parents want to reach out but don’t know what they’re signing up for. That’s fair. Here’s exactly what the process looks like from the first call to ongoing visits.
Step 1. You call us.
No referral needed. You call 817-900-3385 and you talk to our team. You tell us what’s going on with your child. We listen. We ask a few questions to understand the situation. If it sounds like a fit, we move forward. That first call doesn’t commit you to anything.
Step 2. Intake.
We gather basic information about your child and your family. Insurance, Medicaid coverage, contact information. We verify eligibility and get the paperwork in order. This part is straightforward. We’ve done it many times and we walk you through it.
Step 3. Assessment.
Before services start, we do an assessment. This is where we get a real picture of what your child is dealing with. What’s hard. What’s working. What the goals should be. This isn’t a test your child can fail. It’s a conversation that helps us understand where to start.
Step 4. First visit.
Someone from our team comes to you. Your home. Your child’s school if that’s where the work needs to happen. You don’t drive anywhere. You don’t sit in a waiting room. The first visit is about getting comfortable. Meeting your child where they are. Starting to build a relationship before the real work begins.
Step 5. Ongoing visits.
This is where the work actually happens. Regular visits on a consistent schedule. Real skills. Real practice. Real progress over time. We also stay in communication with you. You’re not handing your child off to someone and waiting to hear back. You’re part of it.
How long does it take?
Every child is different. Some families see real changes within the first few weeks. For others it takes longer. We set goals early and track progress so you always know where things stand.
What it costs.
For families on Medicaid, our services are covered. There’s no bill waiting for you after every visit. If you’re not sure about your coverage, call us. We’ll figure it out together.
